Sometimes it's hard to follow the news because so much of it is depressing.
Not here, though! Follow my news, stay up to date, and for heaven's sake - smile.
6/30/09: Bringing the Ruckus (Or Rather, Bringing Myself to the Ruckus)
I was just cast in Ruckus Theatre's first Chicago Production: Heist Play. Shows run August 16-19 & 23-26, and if you're not a square you'll check it out. And you're not a square, are you?
Seriously, take that guy/gal you've had your eye on. After this show, it's guaranteed he/she'll put out.
5/19/09: Sometimes Being an Actor Means Dressing Up Like a Lizard
Y'know those commercials for Sobe with all the lizards dancing around? Well, I was one of those lizards this weekend for the NRA convention - that's the National Restaurant Association - this weekend.
It was ridiculously hot, yes... and the gigantic lizard head I wore did get heavy, sure... but I really had a great time. It's not every day that everyone who sees me runs over smiling to ask for a picture with me. Just most days.
Check out the impromptu dance party that broke out when I and my lizard counterpart tried on our costumes at the agency right here (I'm the orange one).
3/25/09: A New Theatrical Life
After about 20 hours of work, I've completed the newest version of This Theatrical Life. The photo section is completely revamped, and you can now follow my exploits by subscribing to my Twitter feed.
Turns out finally embracing post-1998 technology may not be such a bad thing after all.
2/20/09: Doing a Great Deal of Work with Greatworks Theatre Co.
I've been working with Greatworks for over two years now, and what a great two years it's been. I've just been added to two more shows -The BFG and Diary of a Young Girl, a telling of the Anne Frank story.
Add to that my work in three other Greatworks shows - The Legend of Sleepy Hollow, 50 States in 50 Minutes and A Christmas Carol (as an understudy) and I'm a busy guy.
I'm also featured on Greatworks' website - Go check it out!
2/13/09: 'O' Mission Accomplished
Tonight was the screening of the pilot/STD testing website advertisement (indeed, these two things are not mutually exclisive) that I was lucky enough to be involved with. The final product looks great - but y'all can't see it yet. Top secret, and such.
In the meantime, check out the trailer here - and enjoy the eyeliner.
